FAQ

Rekey & lock change questions

What is the difference between rekeying and replacing a lock?

Rekeying changes the inside of the lock so old keys no longer work; you keep the same hardware and get new keys. Replacing puts in a new lock, which makes sense when a lock is worn or broken or you want a different style.

Is rekeying cheaper than new locks?

Usually, because you keep the hardware, but it depends on your locks. Ken will give you a price on the phone.

Can all my doors use one key?

Often, if the locks are compatible. Ask Ken when you call.
